Before he started making movies, the 35-year-old filmmaker reviewed games for The Totally Rad Show and even made a short film about puzzle game 'Portal'.

When he was helming the project - which starred Mary Elizabeth Winstead, John Goodman and John Gallagher, Jr. - Trachtenberg relied on some pixelated action to relax.

In an interview with Glixel, he shared: "I never really lost touch with video games. Even while shooting '10 Cloverfield Lane', I brought my PlayStation with me, the most portable of all the consoles, and was playing every night. After we'd wrap, I would come home and my way of re-calibrating and resting for the night was playing a game."

When Trachtenberg directed his episode of 'Black Mirror', called 'Playtest', he de-stressed by logging onto 'World of Warcraft' expansion pack 'Legion'.

He said: "I bring the games with me wherever I go and it's a big part of my creative life for sure."
