One of PC's best horror games is finally making its debut on the Sony console in a trio of games called 'Amnesia: The Collection'.

The trio includes 'Amnesia: The Dark Descent', 'Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs', and 'Justine'.

The first of these games, 'The Dark Descent', is a survival horror game that was developed by Frictional Games, the company behind 'SOMA' - one of the most acclaimed indie releases of 2015.

Played from a first person perspective, 'Amnesia: The Dark Descent' reinvents the horror gaming genre.

Instead of killing hordes of enemies, the goal is to progress through a mysterious castle, avoiding the monsters and surviving the journey.

The two follow-up games - 'A Machine for Pigs' and 'Justine' - were not created by Frictional Games and aren't as critically acclaimed, but the company's creative director Thomas Grip has said there's still reason to be excited.

He said in a statement: "Together, all three games should provide a wide range of horrors for all PS4 players to face and I hope it'll produce many pleasant nightmares and sleepless nights upon release!"

'Amnesia: The Collection' will be released for PS4 consoles on November 22, though no price has yet been confirmed for the games.

It is also not known if the games will support the PS4's additional virtual reality hardware, which could make it all the more terrifying.
