In a now-deleted social media message, Joe revealed he is eagerly looking forward to the upcoming shooter video game sequel based on what he has already seen of it.

He wrote on Twitter: "I've seen things #BF5 things and I'm beyond excited. (sic)"

Speculation surrounding the much-anticipated game is increasing all the time, with Joe's tweet prompting rumours that 'Battlefield 5' will be set during World War Two.

By contrast, the European-based retailer World of Games previously claimed the first-person shooter game would be staged during World War One.

What's more, it was reported the game will be available for the PS4, Xbox One and PCs, although it is not yet clear if it will be compatible with earlier consoles, like PS3 and Xbox 360.

The computer game developer Electronic Arts (EA) has generally been tight-lipped about 'Battlefield 5', but in 2014, EA's Blake Jorgensen revealed that it would adopt a military theme.

It's been confirmed, too, that the game will be officially launched later this year, although a specific date is still to be announced.

The last instalment in the series was 'Battlefield Hardline' -developed by Visceral Games in collaboration with EA DICE - and was the first game in the series to focus on crime and policing instead of military warfare.
