The latest release cures several Zombies Chronicles bugs across multiple different platforms, including PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.

However, not all of the changes are replicated across every game and changes are limited to Sony's PS4 platform.

The reason for this is that the most-recent amendments to the popular gaming franchise only impact the new 'Black Ops 3 Zombies Chronicles DLC' - which was released in May.

As part of the changes, the video game title now features eight new fully remastered maps, although other changes are much more subtle.

Meanwhile, it was recently announced that 'Call of Duty WW2' will feature missions inspired by Operation Cobra.

The much-anticipated new video games will include missions that touch on a host of famous moments during the historic conflict, including the Normandy Beach invasion and the Battle of the Bulge.

But for the first time ever, a 'Call of Duty' game will also make reference to Operation Cobra, which was the largest aerial bombardment ever.

Despite this, Sledgehammer CEO Glen Schofield has promised the game will be sensitive towards certain aspects of the conflict.

He previously said: "The big distinction that Germans still make today is that between the German military and the Nazis.

"We made sure we made that distinction in the game, that the Germans were doing their duty ..."
