PlayStation announced further details about the game at its PlayStation Experience (PSX) in Anaheim, California, over the weekend, including that the video game compilation will have new lighting, environments and cinematics.

The bundle is made up of the upgraded, remastered versions of the original 1996 PlayStation 1 game, as well as 1997 follow up 'Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back', and 1998's 'Crash Bandicoot: Warped'.

Other features on the title, which will be released on PlayStation 4, include improved time trials and bonus features, as well as full analog stick support.

There is also a unified checkpoint system and save system included to make it far easier to play the game.

'Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy' is set to launch in 2017 and is available now worldwide for pre-order on PS4 and PS4 PRO.

The bundle has been rumoured for a February 2017 release after Finnish retailer VPD.fi appeared to leak the date in October.

But some fans were left sceptical about the supposed February 28 date because 'Horizon: Zero Dawn' is due to drop on PS4 in Europe one day later on March 1, 2017.

Gamers were therefore speculating that the leaked 'Crash Bandicoot' date may not be accurate because the two release dates are so close together.
