Game director Luke Smith has confirmed Bungie do not want a situation where it is possible for players to simply quit a raid to get a newly-acquired weapon, then re-join, so they have made sure it cannot take place.

He wrote on Twitter: "Raids in D2 don't have locked loadouts.

We don't want this;

"I just got Midnight Coup to drop, let me quit to equip and I'll rejoin. (sic)"

Luke may well spill some more 'Destiny 2' secrets next month as he is set to give the opening Storytime talk to kick off PAX West 2017.

A statement on the PAX website recently said: "The whole thing is going to kick off with our Storytime Session featuring Bungie's own Luke Smith!

"He's going to talk about his path coming up through the gaming industry and hopefully be able to drop some sweet Destiny 2 secrets in there as well."

One thing players do know about the game is that there won't be as many turbines in one section of the title after Luke's team decided to remove one when it proved too tricky to master on the beta version.

He previously said: "I was surprised by the turbine, because there's only one turbine in the shipping game. I was surprised to see two of them.

"That's a great example of something that we implemented, we found it to be too challenging - especially for that opening sequence of the game - and in the shipping game, we removed it. There's one spinning turbine instead of two."

Gamers were faced with the double turbines in the first mission, Homecoming, when the two rotating machine arms destroy when they came into contact with their character.
