February 14 is about to get a whole lot more romantic for gamers who are in a relationship, as there will be no need for them to play with their consoles on the most romantic day of the year as the creators have revealed on its latest blog post that it won't be dishing out themed rewards, weapons and other goodies for fans.

The post reads: "Crimson Days will not be making a return this year. We enjoyed adding some gunfire to your date night, but we have other plans. Instead, we're dedicating our efforts to delivering different things for you to play."

In the past Bungie described it's Crimson Days as a day that "celebrates two Guardians, united against the competition, watching one another's backs and becoming legend together. A Crucible Fireteam, forging bonds of teamwork and friendship that even death only strengthens."

The studio has also hinted that an exciting new 'Destiny' update is coming soon.

It explained: "We're super excited to tell you about it - but not so excited that we'll jump the gun. There will come a time when we're take a seat on our streaming set to talk about how we'll spend the springtime together. That moment will come closer to the thaw. It's rarely our policy to issue guarantees about things that are not yet certified for download. Given the work that is being done behind the scenes, however, we feel like we can start to call the shot."

It is not yet known when or what the update will drop but it is expected to include some weapon balance changes.

Bungie added: "The exact release date is to-be-determined. The full notes on fixes and changes are to be revealed."

'Destiny' is playable on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.
