Following on from the success of the first game in the series comes Disney Magical World 2. VERY Disney right from the moment you click 'New Game', any fan of the franchise is in for a treat. The music is there, all of the familiar faces and characters from the classic Disney movies are present and the player is immediately confronted with a very special invite from the mouse who started it all, Mickey.

Before you jump into the action however, you can customise your male OR female character. The options for customisation are a little basic, but for youngsters this will feel like an incredibly personal touch to the game.

Game controls are simple enough, with players able to take a stroll at a leisurely place or press a single button to start zooming around the various locations. Movement does at times seem a little clunky however, but once you've got the hang of things you should be off and away, having too much fun to notice.

The sounds and voices in the game are all beautifully done - any Disney fan will have a smile on their face as soon as they run into Mickey and hear his signature chuckle upon welcoming you to the eccentric town of Castleton. It's not long before you're meeting other exciting characters from the Disney universe either, with Donald Duck, Minnie Mouse and Daisy Duck all welcoming you to Castleton with open arms (and a very special gift!).

Throughout your journey, you will be tasked with picking up stickers to mark different points in your adventure. Taking them home is a must for any game completist, and those playing will be shocked at just how quickly you realise you want to complete your collection. Stickers also act as a gateway to other worlds (six in total), allowing you to explore new places when you gain a certain amount of them in your sticker book.

This is a wonderful feature for all Disney fans, allowing you to delve deeper into classics including The Little Mermaid and Winnie the Pooh, whilst also granting access to more modern flicks like Lilo & Stitch and world-renowned hit, Frozen.

What may get a little annoying for some people is the constant prodding to take pictures from your photographing companion, Cammy. It's nice for little ones to look back on their memories with the game, but for anyone else it's just a feature that will help clog up your memory card.

Putting that aside, this is a game perfect for children and essential for major Disney lovers of all ages. It's not going to challenge you in any way if you're an experienced gamer, but it'll certainly put a smile on your face. A perfect stocking filler just in time for Christmas.

Disney Magical World 2 is available now for Nintendo 3DS.
