The 34-year-old Grammy-winning rapper has followed in the footsteps of 'Kim Kardashian: Hollywood' and 'Britney Spears: American Dream' to allow fans the chance to experience what it's like to be her in the virtual world of showbiz.

But with this Nicki Minaj version, people are able to record their own voice and mix it with custom beats, and 'spit' some lyrics to 'Super Bass' like their idol, thanks to a tech facelift.

Speaking about the game in a promotional clip, Nicki says:

"I was very hands on with it, so it's not something they're getting that I don't care about. It's something that really took time to go over with the producers to make sure that it was the best game on the market.

"In the narrative portion of the game players do start in Queens which is me obviously just saluting where I was raised in New York and how much I love the culture there and how much I want to connect with everyone that plays this game and give them just an insight on who I am and where I'm from."

Gamers can decorate their very own Queens apartment, put on a skintight bodysuit designed by Mark Fast and do everything that Nicki does in real-life with the aim of rising to ultimate super-stardom.

On fashion, Nicki said: "I love Mark Fast, I've worn his clothes for years, so the fact that he's going to be in my game and the fact that fans will get this up close and personal look at his style, it's pretty epic."

It's no secret that Nicki grew up in Queens, New York, as an immigrant to the US, and built herself a career from nothing and the game even features a fictional club called 'Truffle Butter' - named after her 2014 hit single.

There are educational benefits to the game, Nicki added: "There are things that they are going to learn, you're getting the best of both worlds - you get to play a game but you do get to learn about the business. So every thing in this game I want to feel like reality."

The game is available to download on iOS and Android from Wednesday (14.12.16).
