As a result, gaming enthusiasts who own the console will be able to play the title if they own the game on the 360 console or download the title.

Of course, 'Episodes from Liberty City' also includes the two DLC expansions released on 'Grand Theft Auto 4', 'The Lost and Damned' and 'The Ballad of Gay Tony', as separate titles.

And therefore, anyone who purchased either expansion separately with the title will also be play them on the Xbox One console.

Last month, meanwhile, Phil Spencer, the head of Xbox, admitted he is excited to play 'Super Mario Odyssey' on the upcoming Nintendo Switch console.

Spencer revealed he is as excited as most other pixel lovers at the prospect of a new adventure featuring the moustached plumber.

Discussing the title on Twitter, Spencer posted: "Mario looked new/fresh (sic)"

Spencer also admitted he is interested in trying out new Link-led RPG 'The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild', insisting that from the previews he has seen it "should be great".
