The stealth horror game is currently in its fourth stage of alpha testing - which PC users can buy early access to now - and was previously confirmed to be coming to PC consoles this year, but it has now been revealed the game will also be getting a port on the Xbox One console, with both editions being released later this year.

Developer TinyBuild announced the news on Thursday (25.05.17), when they also took to YouTube to post a video detailing how the Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the game works. The studio explained how the neighbour - the antagonist of the game - changes modes depending on the threat level, and learns how to intuitively counter the player's moves.

In 'Hello Neighbour' the player is tasked with sneaking into their neighbour's house in order to find the keys which unlock a door in the home, behind which untold secrets are locked. However, as soon as the player enters the home the evil neighbour is alerted to their presence and will hunt them down and attack them.

Players must hide from the neighbour in order to progress through his house, but the unique AI means the computer will start to learn where the player is hiding.

A post on the game's website reads: "'Hello Neighbour' is a Stealth Horror Game about sneaking into your neighbour's house. Play against an advanced AI that learns from your every move."

The game is following an "open development method" and has been in early Alpha since October 2016.

'Hello Neighbour' is due for both PC and Xbox One consoles on August 29.
