Nintendo have announced details of the brand new game in the popular 'Kirby' series - which was first made popular after the release of 'Kirby's Dream Land' in 1993 - which will land in the Nintendo eShop for owners of the handheld 3DS systems in both Europe and North America next week.

'Kirby's Blowout Blast' will follow the style of traditional 'Kirby' games as it will rely on the players ability to control titular character Kirby, who can inhale things into his mouth and spit them out to destroy foes.

Players must guide the pink puffball through more than 25 stages, inhaling foes to unleash a powerful "Blaster Bullet." The more foes you inhale, the more destructive your bullet becomes, allowing you to wipe out entire rows of enemies with a single gust.

A description of the game on Nintendo's website reads: "Have a blast inhaling foes and blowing them away in 3D environments across 25+ stages. Inhale enough enemies and you can launch one huge Blaster Bullet capable of wiping out a troop of Waddle Dees. Now's your chance to battle iconic bosses like Kracko Jr and King Dedede in 3D!

"Inhaling multiple enemies to launch Blaster Bullets is a great way to pump up your score and go for a bronze, silver, or gold star. Another way to score big is to rack up a combo by continuously firing at enemies without missing. Or you could always just collect coins as you jump across platforms. As you progress, you'll unlock EX stages, which provide a tougher challenge to master."

'Kirby's Blowout Blast' is the second title to be made available on the Nintendo eShop this year, after the release of multiplayer-focused 'Team Kirby Clash Deluxe' back in April.
