Harmonix's social lead Josh Harrison has hinted the legendary music groups could make an appearance on a forthcoming version of the title.

When asked if music from the likes of Led Zep and Pink Floyd may find its way onto a 'Rock Band' game at some point, he said: "Never give up hope."

Speaking at the PAX East Panel, he added: "I don't feel comfortable saying no, but I can't say yes."

Josh admitted the US-based game development company had been chasing British music legends The Beatles for a while before 'The Beatles: Rock Band' was created, which appears to suggest a similar outcome could occur with Zeppelin or Floyd.

'The Beatles: Rock Band' was released in May 2009 on PlayStation 3, Wii, and Xbox 360, with the blessing of Beatles members Sir Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr.

The soundtrack features 45 songs from the so-called Fab Four, and other tunes and albums by the 'Can't Buy Me Love' hitmakers were also made available as downloadable content.
