Today sees an announcement from Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, TT Games, The LEGO Group and Lucasfilm as the companies team up once more for LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens, marking the return of the number one LEGO videogame franchise.

Players will be allowed to relive the memorable moments of the blockbuster film in LEGO's humorous trademark way, launching on June 28 later this year.

Brand new gameplay mechanics are promised, with gamers 'building, battling and flying through the galaxy like never before'.

New story content will also be included exploring the time not seen on screen between Return of the Jedie and The Force Awakens, providing exciting additional insight.

LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens will be available on Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4, PS3, PS Vita, Wii U, Nintendo 3DS and Windows PC.

PS4 and PS3 players will be given exclusive access to DLC, including the Droid Character Pack and the Phantom Limb Level Pack.
