UK based indie developer and publisher, VooFoo Studios, announced the exciting news on Tuesday (07.11.17).

From now on, gamers playing the car game will experience truly immersive, top-down racing with crystal-clear image quality and vivid colour improvements in smooth ultra high definition races at 60FPS.

Mark Williams, Technology Director at VooFoo Studios, said: "With Xbox One X we've been able to deliver true native 4K resolution and anti-aliasing which takes the crispness and clarity of detail in the game to another level - this is the most immersive version of the game to date."

Players who have already purchased the game for Xbox One will be able to download and experience these additional features for free on Xbox One X.

To show off what 4K can do for a game as detailed as Mantis Burn Racing, VooFoo Studios has released a series of images to compare 1080p to 4K.

Meanwhile, VooFooStudios have been hard at work checking into what's possible with the Nintendo Switch hardware.

Mark said recently: "We've been spending a lot of time getting to grips with the capabilities of the Switch -- we've learnt a lot by digging deeper into the hardware.

"The Switch's performance analysis tools have allowed us to understand where frame rate improvements could be made and we're really pleased to have the game running at a consistently smooth 60fps -- we were determined to make the Switch version the best it can be."
