Marvel is teaming up with Telltale for a brand new video game series. Famous for their episodic games such as the recently released Game of Thrones and iconic Walking Dead series, Telltale are to debut the "game series project" in 2017.

Writing on a Telltale blog post, fans are told: "Announced this evening in San Francisco, we're excited to reveal an all-new partnership with the incredible team at Marvel Entertainment.

"We'll be teaming up on the development of an upcoming Telltale game series project set to premiere in 2017!

"As always, stay tuned here for the latest news and details on this and all of our upcoming projects as they become available."

Unity Technology CEO and former EA CEO John Riccitiello was recently added to Telltale's board of directors, with Lionsgate CEO Jon Feltheimer also joining the board as part of Lionsgate's investment in the company.

Currently known to be working on a Minecraft spin-off video game, Telltale also have an original and unlicensed release in the pipeline.
