Capcom has confirmed the exciting news announcing that console players will be able to get their hands on the game - the latest in the long-running series - on January 26 next year.

A release for PC gamers will follow at a later date, with pre-orders for the Xbox One and Playstation 4 versions open now, with options for both the standard, digital deluxe and physical collector's editions of the game.

Meanwhile, a trailer was also released revealing various new monsters in the new title, as well as a quite peek at Astera, which is the base of operations for the Research Commissions as they set up to explore a whole new world.

From the lizard-like Pukei-Pukei and the terrifying beast Nergigante, a host of wild and wonderful creatures have also been showcased.

Players pre-ordering the game across Europe either digitally or at certain stores will get access to special bonuses including the Fair Wind Charm talisman and the Origin Set armour.

The digital deluxe edition will feature the game itself, and additional options to be used in-game, such as three gestures, two sticker sets, a Samurai Set skin, and an extra hair style and face paint option for the hunter.

Meanwhile, the physical collector's edition will include the game, a voucher for the 'Deluxe Kit', high quality flagship monster statue, an art book and soundtrack CD, in a custom box.
