The free-to-play mobile puzzle game - which is also available as a free download on Nintendo 3DS systems - is set to be filled with even more of the adorable pocket monsters as Nintendo have announced the three starter Pokémon from the 'Sun and Moon' games will be made available for a limited time only.

Each of the three new Pokémon are only available for a certain amount of time, starting from Wednesday (26.04.17) and continuing through to June 6.

Fans of fire-type Pokémon Litten will need to log in to the game between Wednesday and May 9 in order to be in with a chance of catching the Pokémon, whilst water-type Popplio is available from May 9 to May 23, and grass-type Rowlett will be catchable from May 23 to June 6.

In addition to the three new catchable creatures, any user who logs in to the app between May 2 and May 30 will also receive the special 'Sun and Moon' version of the classic first generation Pokémon Vulpix.

As of yet, is it unknown whether the 'Sun and Moon' starters will be made permanently available at a later date, or if any other of the Pokémon exclusive to the latest instalment will be added.

And 'Pokémon Shuffle' isn't the only game to have received new creatures recently, as in February around 80 new Pokémon from the Johto region were added to augmented reality app 'Pokémon Go'.

These Pokémon were first catchable in the second generation of Pokémon games, 'Gold and Silver', and include the starters Cyndaquil, Totodile, and Chikorita.
