'Pokemon Go' won't be affected by plans to launch a new Harry Potter-themed game, according to its developers.
Niantic Labs has already enjoyed incredible success with the record-breaking title since it was launched last year and the firm has insisted that despite recently announcing plans to launch a Harry Potter game using similar concepts, it won't be taking its eye off the ball.
In a blog post, the company explained: "We [...] want to say that we are 100% committed to creating an ever-changing and growing game that gets our players exploring, meeting each other, and deepening their connection to the Pokemon universe.
"We're actively expanding the Pokemon GO development team to build many more amazing features in 2018. Stay tuned for an update next week on upcoming improvements to certain features. (sic)"
Earlier this month, meanwhile, Niantic announced plans to launch a Harry Potter-themed follow-up game.
Looking forward to its release, the firm explained: "With 'Harry Potter: Wizards Unite', players that have been dreaming of becoming real life Wizards will finally get the chance to experience J.K. Rowling's Wizarding World.
"Players will learn spells, explore their real world neighbourhoods and cities to discover & fight legendary beasts and team up with others to take down powerful enemies. (sic)"
