The most recent instalment of the popular monster catching video game is set to give players who visit certain GameStop stores a chance to pick up a "battle ready" Salazzle from August 14.

This particular Pokemon is level 50 and comes equipped with a Focus Sash, a one-use item that allows it to endure any attack that would normally result in a one-hit knockout. It also has an impressive move set, including Fake Out, Toxic, Sludge Bomb and Flamethrower.

When the event begins, players will be able to download their Salazzle with the Mystery Gift option. After selecting it from the game's menu screen, players will then need to choose to receive their gift via code/password and input the code they received from GameStop. They will then be able to pick the Pokemon up from the deliveryman waiting inside any of the game's Pokemon Centers.

That's not the only Pokemon that hopeful trainers can get their hands on for free this month either, as up until August 14, Nintendo are still handing out a rare shiny Tapu Koko, which can be downloaded from the Mystery Gift screen.

Players can also receive four free Mega Stones for Tyranitar, Abomasnow, Manectric, and Aggron.

The distribution for the new Salazzle runs until September 4.
