Atari have announced their plans to develop Pridefest, an original social-sim game for mobile devices and tablets that empowers players to put together and launch a personalised pride parade in a city of their choosing.

As the first LGBT-themed Atari game, Pridefest players will be able to customise parade flotillas with decorations and adorn their locale with attractions and entertainment to catch the eye.

Gamers will have the goal of keeping their city upbeat and happy, solving challenges and completing quests to unlock new supplies for the parade and festival, whilst receiving other bonuses.

Personalisation is slated to be a major part of gameplay, with the opportunity to chat to friends, create avatars and visit the cities of others.

“We are excited to be developing Atari’s first LGBT-themed game that will give players of all backgrounds the chance to play a fun and unique game that represents a passionate cause,” said Todd Shallbetter, Chief Operating Officer, Atari Inc. “We will continue offering a variety of games that are inclusive for all Atari fans and Pridefest is another example of how we are doing that.”
