The remastered version of 'Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare' will include a multiplayer mode.

Activision confirmed the news on Tuesday (27.09.16) and the lead designer for Raven Sofware, Amos Lodge, shared the details on Twitter.

He wrote: "#MWRemastered will have the original MP announcer VO for the original modes. (sic)"

The update will still contain original player mode options with more expected to be announced.

According to GameSpot, the game is to also give players the choice of 10 multiplayer maps and a further six will be added in time for Christmas in December.

Hodge has been giving regular updates on the remastered version including the update of sounds and headshots.

He previously wrote: "Raven will be updating the obituary icons for headshots and melee kills to match the original theme #MWRemastered ... Raven has updated the sounds for the Barrett, DEgale, RPD and M40A3 to more closley match the original theme (sic)"

The remastered version is only available for those who purchased the premium edition, 'Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare', which comes out on November 4 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC.
