The multinational corporation has admitted its previous March 3 release date was listed in error on the PlayStation Store, according to Gamespot.

Reports earlier this week suggested the game had been slightly delayed but that is no longer the case.

The news will no doubt delight fans as it means they will get to access the game a few days early after previous delays - 'Horizon: Zero Dawn' was originally scheduled to release in 2016, before Sony announced a delay to 2017.

At the time, its developer Guerrilla Games said the delay would give the company "the extra time required to deliver fully on our ambitious vision for Horizon: Zero Dawn".

The game plot is centered on a hunter and archer called Aloy, who lives in a world overrun by robots.

After being sheltered her whole life she goes on an adventure to discover the dangers that kept her sheltered for so long.

Using a range of melee weapons and stealth tactics she attempts to combat the mechanicalised creatures whose remains can also be looted for resources.

In an open world environment games guide Aloy to explore whilst testing her skills at side quests on her adventure through the whole world.
