Sub-Zero

The 'Mortal Kombat' veteran - who was among the original characters in the first 1992 game - is available today (12.07.17) in the beat 'em up for players who have purchased selective additional titles.

Gamers who forked out for 'Injustice 2 Ultimate Edition', 'Injustice 2 Deluxe Edition', 'Injustice 2 Ultimate Pack' or 'Fighter Pack number one' will be able to make the most of the icy figure.

But players who don't have such additions shouldn't fear as Sub-Zero will be available as a standalone purchase on July 18 from the PlayStationStore and Xbox Store.

Sub-Zero will follow in the footsteps of Red Hood, who was recently made available on the game, and Starfire is also on the way but a release date is not yet known.

'Injustice 2' - released in May - features some of the greatest DC superheroes and supervillains, voiced by the cast of the 'Justice League Unlimited' cartoon.

Those keen to purchase the Deluxe Edition' will be interested to hear it includes three playable characters and a Premiere Skin, which can transform Supergirl into Power Girl, giving the character a new look, voice and dialogue.

Also available with the deluxe edition is a new Gear Shader that lets players customise the look of their roster with the Gods Shader Pack.

'Injustice 2' is a follow up to 'Injustice: Gods Among Us', which was released in 2013.
