New side-scrolling action-adventure video game Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Danger Of The Ooze will aim to bridge the gap between seasons two and three of Nickelodeon's popular animated programme.

Classic 2D fighting and platforming gameplay is merged with the 3D art direction the TV series has taken, as developer WayForward Technologies bring the game to Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Nintendo 3DS later this year.

New locations, allies and threats will be brought together as tension quickly rises. Shredder, Tiger Claw and a whole new army of mutants are on the streets of New York and it's up to Leonardo, Raphaeo, Donatello and Michelangelo to take action.

Exploration and creative thinking will be rewarded, as power, upgrades and equipment is up for grabs across New York, whilst Dimension X opens up whole new environments, secrets and villains to battle.

Each Turtle can be swapped between freely throughout the progress of the adventure - each with its own rhythm, stats, skills, strengths and weaknesses.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Danger of the Ooze is expected to emerge in Autumn 2014 for Xbox 360, PlayStation®3 and Nintendo 3DS and is rated PEGI 12. For more Turtles news as it comes, follow along at www.Facebook.com/TeenageMutantNinjaTurtles.
