Map Of London Print

Map Of London Print

Fresh from designing the personal invitations for Chanel’s Little Black Jacket Exhibition, British artist and illustrator Alice Tait is pleased to announce her Illustrated London Map: the perfect gift idea for anyone looking for a unique gift this Christmas.

Alice has worked for many high profile clients including special commissions for Vogue, Jamie Oliver, The Guardian, Penguin Books, the Hollywood reporter. Alice’s work became spotted and admired across the UK, and increased demand for prints led Alice to officially set up shop in 2010.

The map contains sketches of some of London’s best-known landmarks and attractions, including Notting Hill, Hyde Park, The Royal Albert Hall, London Zoo, Buckingham Palace, The London Eye, Saint Paul’s Cathedral, The Tower of London, The Gherkin and Brick Lane, as well as the famous River Thames, which stretched across the map from West to East.

Alice’s joyful design was initially inspired by the life of the bustling streets in her beloved Portobello Road neighbourhood and you can even spot Alice and her sausage dog in many of the London pictures.

Alice says: "At the time of creating the Illustrated London map I lived and worked close to Portbello Road market, and so my plan was to design something original to sell tourists and visitors.

"In this map I have illustrated many of the famous and iconic London landmarks, but look out for lots of extra details and funny touches too!"

The Alice Tait Illustrated London Map could complement any room in the home, brighten up a workspace, or make a memorably thoughtful gift. The Map range is also available in a Paris and New York Map and works beautifully as a set of three.

All three versions of the map are available from The Alice Tait Shop on Not On the High Street (www.notonthehighstreet.com/thealicetaitshop).

The print will be hand signed by Alice herself, and if you wish you can request for it to be personalised with handwritten names, for example, 'For Katie' or ‘From Mum and Dad’.

Maps are litho printed on thick cartridge style A3 paper (42cm X 29.7cm), and well presented in a clear sleeve with stiff backing board, making them easy to wrap as gifts.

And we have copies of the print to give away in our competition section here
