Halo has now launched, the feminine care range with a difference - the femcare range with a heart.
Featuring compact tampons, sanitary towels, stay dry and breathable panty liners – this complete 14 product range of feminine care product donates 15p of the sale price of every purchase to the Halo Initiative.
Women in the UK spend over £20 million a month on tampons, towels and liners. Here at the Halo Initiative, we thought it would be great to do something useful with some of that money, and raise funds for women and women’s health charities.
The Halo Initiative
The Halo Initiative will distribute the money raised to a range of charities focused on women, and women’s health. The charity is wholly independent, and run by several high profile trustees: Baroness Julia Neuberger, Professor Gwyneth Lewis, Baroness Margaret Jay, Pinky Lilani, Ruth Giradet and Sidonie Kingsmill - all with a strong interest in women, and women’s issues. Directing funds towards the advancement of physical, mental and social wellbeing and the relief of illness amongst all women, the Halo Initiative will make a small number of significant financial awards each year. Areas of concentrated focus will include ovarian and gynaecological cancers, mental health, domestic violence and teenage pregnancies. Particular consideration will be given to charities and organisations that are currently underfunded but have clear plans for how additional funding could be used. Every penny from the 15p donation will go to the Halo Initiative, with no admin costs taken from the funds raised. This ensures that all your money raised is directed to the causes which the Initiative chooses to support.
Show us your knickers
And to show we are the brand that supports and celebrates womankind, Halo has come up with a playful competition called the Show Us Your Knickers Campaign. Commencing March 1st, the Show Us Your Knickers Campaign invites women (and men ! ) to take part by customising a pair of knickers (or pants.) Entrants are to then take a photograph of their finished designs (not whilst wearing them, of course!) and send entries through to [email protected]* The Halo Team will then judge the best customised pair (1st winner to be announced April 1st) and each month the winning entry will receive £500 of Tesco vouchers. All entries will be featured in the Halo Facebook page gallery and on the Halo-Protects.com website.
