Sexually Transmitted Infections are rife in festivals, according to new research. The online pharmacy who conducted the research are now reaching out to warn people attending the dangers of unprotected sex and that there are repercussions of the free love practised at festivals.

The summer months may be drawing to a close, but there are still plenty of festivals to attended, and shocking research shows the sexually transmitted diseases that can be picked up at a festival.
Highlighted in previous studies, UK Medix has found that two thirds of Britons who have recently had a one night stand did not use a condom with the person. And three quarters admitted that STIs were the last thing on their mind in this scenario. For those worried about their sexual health, they have also provided symptoms associated with various sexually transmitted diseases. However if you have had unprotected sex and are worried you may have an STI, then you should visit your doctor or sexual health clinic immediately.

“Our recent research shows that people aren’t taking the necessary measures when it comes to protecting themselves against STI’s nor are they making any effort to find out themselves if they have something before having intercourse with a partner. We wanted to highlight the dangers of unprotected sex at festivals, to avoid the spread of dangerous STIs.
“With the high numbers of diagnosed STIs in the UK, there is a good chance of picking one up at a festival. To avoid getting an STI you must ALWAYS remember to use condoms and avoid methods such as withdrawing, having sex standing up or using antiseptic measures before and after intercourse such as wipes, gel or cream as these won’t protect you from sexually transmitted infections.”
