While Tony finds himself preoccupied with making final preparations for his date, Rachel is beginning to question whether or not her decision to accept was the right one: after all, what does Colleen know? Her fears look set to be realised when, having made her way to the fancy city restaurant, the date gets off to a rocky start; the conversation is far from stimulating, and when a nervous Tony does open his mouth to speak it seems he’d have been better off saying nothing at all.
Fortunately, as the evening draws on, the troubled twosome work past their unease and start to enjoy each other's company – but whether or not this may be the start of something more remains to be seen.
Calling time
A trip to the city proves no less complicated for Geoff, who remains convinced that he’s destined for higher things and has opted to call time on his football playing. After seeking advice from a preoccupied Tony and legal eagle Morag, Geoff returns from the big smoke a free man – but not everyone’s ready to be quite so forgiving of his throwing away an opportunity.
Still not ready to let go of their differences, Aden is infuriated that his rival has wasted a position that other guys would do anything to get and opts to make it clear that he’ll soon have plenty more to regret. What’s he planning next?
Tortured souls
Meanwhile, Henk is finding the wait for the results of Cassie’s blood tests too much to take and, as he begins to fall apart under the strain, once again confides in Martha over his fears.
