Pets - If you have Pets, they will be more than happy to eat up any waste food you have left after a meal. You can also reuse your used newspapers as cage fillers.

Water But- A water but is an ingenious device that collects rainwater. You can use the water to feed the garden or refill ponds.

Forage for Fruit- Fruit picking is a fun activity that the family can enjoy. You will be able to feed your family organic produce as well as supporting local farmers.

Grow your own- Growing your own vegetables will save on air miles as well as looking fabulous in the garden.  

Washing up Bowls- Using a washing up bowl will allow you to control how much water you use when doing the dishes.

Switching off- Try to teach your children at a young age that it is important to switch of lights. Tell them ‘a light switch down causes a frown’ and they are sure to pick up the message. 

Recycling in the Kitchen- Make sure you have several bins in the kitchen so that you can sort your waste accordingly. If you bin in the kitchen as well as a food waste bin which you can add to the compost heap later

Reuse clothes- hand me downs are a practical way to save time and money. You can pull together a new outfit from a friend of family member’s wardrobe. Remember to ask first of course!
