The bathroom can be a homeowners nightmare to decorate. It's so important to make it practical, cleanable and waterproof, that it's difficult to find a space for the style to make you throne room as beautiful as the rest of your home
A white bathroom is classic, and modern. It has a clean, airy feel about it. But it can also become very boring. Coloured bathrooms may look nice for a while, but quickly become dated and as it's probably one of the most expensive rooms in your home to decorate, they're not really a good idea.

Textures
In a plain room, texture can become the alternative to colour. It doesn't have to mean furry cushiouns and woolen throw rugs, though. Vary the textures in your decorating from the smooth porcelain, and gloss woodwork, to textured walls and leaded glass. Layer fabrics and paints for a cool, sophisticated look.
Colours
Your choice for the bathroom suite and tiles may have been white, but that doesn't mean you can't paint the walls. In the smallest room in the house, strong colours will overpower the room and shrink it, so go with subtle, pastel or earthy tones. Cool colours give a feeling of serenity. Compliment the wall colour with bright towels and accessories.
Cut backs
take out anything that intrudes into the room. Replace open shelving with a practical linen closet. Even if it means storing towels elsewhere. Replace a cabinet sink with a pedestal sink to open up the floor space in the room. Only have essentials visible in the bathroom, make sure everything else has a place and put it away.
