These include:

Make sure that your loft insulation is more than 200mm thick. Insulating your loft could save you nearly £175 per year.

Putting in cavity wall insulation could save you around £130 a year.

Replace your boiler every 15 years

Change your windows to double glazed windows
Switching off any unused lightbulbs and you could save around £32 a year

By boiling the amount of water you need for one cup rather than boiling a full kettle could save you around £30 a year

Washing laundry at 40 not 60 degrees in an A-Rated machine could save you around £12 a year.

Turning your thermostat down by 1 degree centigrade could save you around £49 a year.

Putting silver foil behind radiators fixed to external walls will reflect the heat back into the room and could save you around £15 a year.

Setting your heating to turn off one hour before you leave the house and come on half an hour before you get home could save you around £51 a year.

Only using your dishwasher when it's full you could save around £15 a year.

Leaving your TV and all accessories attached to it on standby all the time could cost you around £46 per year. So switch them off at the button or plug.
