Joel Ruben Madden is famously known for being one fifth of the American Rock band Good Charlotte. He has an identical twin Benji Madden who is also a member in the band.
In 1995, the twin brothers decided to start a band and after recruiting new members they made their first cameo as a band in the film Not another Teen Movie in 2001.
Madden dated Hilary Duff in 2004 but they broke up in 2006. He then started to date socialite Nicole Richie and they later married and had two children together Harlow Winter and Sparrow James.
In 2007, Madden and Richie created The Richie Madden Children’s Foundation and he is also a Goodwill Ambassador for UNICEF.
In 2011, he confirmed his place as a mentor on Australian version of The Voice and will also be a mentor in the second season.
