Fashion Debate: Do Newsreaders Have the Worst Dress Sense?

Newsreaders aren't exactly known for being style icons but is this really an excuse for some of the hideous crimes against fashion they grace our screens with?

Perhaps you're too tired to have noticed the strange outfits the likes of Sian Williams and Susanna Reid sport on the Breakfast news but we suggest you take a look tomorrow.

A newsreader's uniform seems to be made up of a mixture of bright clashing colours, unbuttoned blouses, badly-fitting trouser suits and strange belts just thrown in at random.

Fair enough they get up at 3am to come to work but they can still switch the light on before they get dressed.

What do you think? Is it about time we gave our newsreaders a make over?
