Good Worker Tom Ford

Tom Ford believes he is a good boss.

The fashion designer - who recently said his time working with Yves Saint Laurent was "difficult and miserable" - doesn't believe anyone who has ever worked for him could have similar complaints as he is even-tempered.

He said: "I don't think any place I've ever worked in has ever been difficult for the people who work there, because I don't throw temper tantrums. I'm a very rational, compassionate, organised guy. Working in a pleasant environment is very important to me."

Tom also said that although he likes being organised, he hates being called a "control freak" as it implies he is "crazy".

He explained to NY Magazine: "I hate that word. But, in my life, I've often been called a control freak. There needs to be a better word for it. 'Control freak' makes it sound like you're crazy.

"If your name is on a shoe, then the heel is the way you want it and the toe is the way you want it and the leather is exactly the quality you want it. When you're creating something that is expressive, that's the point — it represents your point of view."

Victoria Beckham's Style-stealing Husband

Victoria and David Beckham wear the same sunglasses.

The former Spice Girls singer-turned-fashion designer has unveiled her new self-titled eyewear collection and says her soccer star husband is a particular fan of a blue aviator-style pair.

She said: "They're a great colour, especially with my denim. They're unisex - David loves this style too."

The sunglasses - which Victoria worked on with upmarket eyewear designers Cutler and Gross - retail from upwards of £225 but the British beauty doesn't believe the hefty price tag will stop people buying them.

She added to Britain's Grazia magazine: "They are all beautifully handmade and now feature amazing new shapes, colours and detailing.

"I've had phenomenal support from some of the most influential people in the industry. But what I've learned is there's always a market for quality, and people will spend money on something that's been well made. In the end, it's all about the product.

"It's been hard work but I love what I do."

Singling out her favourite pair from the collection, Victoria said of the acetate tortoiseshell design: "I wear these every day. They are so versatile and very flattering."
