We're a big fan of Kate Beckinsale here at Female First. Not only does she give us endless gowns to drool over every time she attends an award show or premiere, but she also manages to have the most perfect hair and make-up too.
In fact, we don't think this lady has ever had an off day since she made the transition from a British rising star to a major league Hollywood actress.
That said, she wasn't always so polished and well presented, and that gives us hope at least! In her early acting days she was pale, pasty and didn't know how to style her hair at all.
Fast forward five years and she has a bouffant of expertly quaffed hair, perfect glowing skin and a pearly white set of knashers; Oh, to be part of the Hollywood elite!
After her stunning appearance as the Golden Globes last week, we thought it was about time we awarded her the honour of becoming our beauty icon for the week.
Kate's look was understated elegance, which was what most women in attendance decided to go for on the big night. She stood out to us because she attempted a new spring trend of a centre-parting up-do and went for a gorgeous oyster coloured gown.
Her make-up was also pretty simple, focusing on her eyes by wearing silver eye shadow and false eyelashes, while keeping her lips and cheeks just flushed with a light pink.
She reminds us of a slightly younger version of Catherine Zeta Jones, who was famous for her unruly hair and bushy eyebrows before she married Hollywood royalty.
Well, they're both sitting pretty now with everyone wanting to copy them and their style. Our only advice to Kate is- don't get caught out with wrinkles and spots on display like Catherine did last year, the press will crucify you!
