The easiest beauty trend this season: The nude palette

We may look to the runway for inspiration but we're also being encouraged to show off what god gave us. Simply put, you cannot get better than natural beauty.

Depending on whether you're a fan of the look, just not a fan of using too much make up or too lazy to bother with anything to adventurous in the mornings, the nude, natural tones to highlight key areas of the face is a style that has been around for a couple of seasons now, and it doesn't seem to be losing its popularity.

The trick to the look is to chose key shades and areas of make up and to apply lightly.

Top make up for this look include concealer, foundation, mascara, a faint blush or bronzer and some nude lipstick and eye pencil shades. Depending on how neutral you want the look to be, select only a couple of pieces and work from that.

For a fresh-faced look nothing can beat a touch of foundation and a sweep of blush for minimalistic, girl-next-door look that can be a great holiday or every day look.

Have a look at some of these bits and pieces that should get you in the mood for some make up experiments.

Whether you have a stack of make up or less is more, this Smashbox set is sure to set you on your neutral ways.

It comes with everything you could possibly need for achieving that fresh glow. The great thing about this palette is that you can mix and match your applications everytime you do your makeup depending on how light or rich you want your make up to be. We think it would be a great holiday buy too - Everything you could need in one palette and great for the change in tan as you get your holiday in full swing. Available from QVC, £30.

If you feel your best with a coverage of foundation then ensure it is a light one such as this L'Oreal True Match Minerals foundation. Its coverage will not only make for a nude complexion, but it won't block pores resulting in pimples and blemishes. A few sweeps of the brush is all it needs. £14.99.

All over coverage may not be your thing and so a concealer is a great way of bringing light to those darker, tired shadows in the skin and just helping the skin to appear more vibrant. Nude and natural doesn't have to mean dull and boring. Maybelline Dream Touch Lumi concealer concentrates on an even skin tone and an awakened complexion. £6.99.

Depending on how fresh faced you want to appear, a little bit of mascara will help to brighten those eyes and make them stand out. Don't go for the all out mascara look - just a touch will be enough to get some attention. This Rimmel Glam eyes mascara is a beauty, it defines lashes and keeps that natural look, £7.19. Failing that why not try a clear or brown mascara - less intense than black but still adds a little colour and depth to your lashes.

A nude lipstick is essential if you're wanting the all-out natural look. Sweep some blusher on your face, some concealer under the eyes to show of some illumination in the face and some Revlon Matte Nude Lipstick and you have the ultimate nude combination.

For that extra mother nature look go for the tussled hair look. Either a messy pony, side plait or bun for an up do and some loose waves and curls for a relaxed down do.
