We love the hairstyle from the Felder Felder show

Twin designers, Felder Felder, took inspiration from 90s come back girl, Jaime King this season.

Their muse went from young model to addict, to successful actress, wife and mother. Felder Felder wanted to show a powerful woman who has bounced back and embodies resilience, maturity and beauty.

To add to the collection, print inspirations were drawn from the intense and colourful abstract paintings of Gerhard Richter.

Within Felder Felder’s textile work, hair references can be seen, such as strands of hair seen between the layers of sheer quilting, as well as long goat fur, mohair, and hand- crafted silk mock-monkey fur.

Kenna took a cue from Jaime King’s two infamous phases in the 90s and fused a soft and mature parting in the front with a loose, imperfect low-slung ponytail in the back. This resulted in a controlled look that still created movement on the runway.

“The ghd eclipse® styler was key to creating the high shine on this undone look with textured movement, reflecting the textiles, prints and muse of the Felder Felder AW14 collection.”  Kenna, ghd UK creative director.

GET THE LOOK:

Prep: To create a textured base apply ghd style root lift spray to wet hair.

Blast hair with the hairdryer until dry.

Using a  tailcomb, create a clean, wide, side parting on the left hand side.

Section off a radial, teardrop-shaped section of hair, starting in front of the crown all the way down to the nape from behind the ears and smooth hair using the ghd eclipse® styler to create high shine and control.

Hold this section of hair up and tie back the front two side sections with an elastic underneath.

To create Jaime King’s 90s free movement in the back section, run the ghd eclipse® from root to end. Top tip: Keep your elbows up and turn the styler 90 degrees at the root to create movement.

Using the detangling comb, lightly backcomb adding extra volume behind the ears for a more interesting profile.

Looking at the floor, secure the hair 2-3 inches down from the nape of the neck and use an elastic to secure in place.

Hold the style in place using ghd style final fix spray.
