Suki Waterhouse walks in the Burberry Prorsum SS15 show

As always the Burberry Prorsum catwalk show is always one of the most anticipated of London Fashion Week, and it’s always worth the wait.

For SS15 there is plenty of colour from the Burberry collection and the make-up reflects this with a gorgeous bright red lip.

The look is inspired by the latest runway themes and is entitled ‘The Birds and the Bees’; developed by Burberry make-up artistic consultant Wendy Rowe, under the creative direction of Chief Creative and Chief Executive Officer, Christopher Bailey, the look features:

  • Honey skin with an iridescent glow
  • Tawny eyes washed with nude hues to create natural depth
  • Deep ruby red lips that are slightly matte
  • Nails in new shades of blue, green and pink

It’s a simple, easy-to-recreate look that will ensure you wear your bright lips all-year round.

APPLICATION TIPS

SKIN

  • Apply your base to the face, ears and décolletage like a moisturiser to give a natural glow
  • Use Concealer to highlight the face – on the forehead, nose, Cupid’s bow, chin, and under eyes to diminish dark circles. Use a mix of the two shades to even the complexion

EYES

  • Keep lashes bare for a modern feel
  • Apply a stone-coloured shadow across the eyelid, blending up to the socket line. Intensify the colour closer to the lash line and use a wider brush to wash the colour under the lower lash line
  • Groom the brows where needed to create a natural shape

LIPS

  • Accentuate the shape of the mouth by first applying a little foundation
  • Apply your favourite red lipstick in a bright tone

BURBERRY NAIL POLISH

New limited edition shades have been introduced to the Burberry Nail Polish collection, inspired by the Spring Summer 2015 runway accessories and ready-to-wear. Two three-piece nail polish collections will be available to purchase from Burberry.com following the show for a limited time only – months before the collection launches in store in January 2015.
