Alexa Chung Gets Ahead in Tartan

Alexa Chung looks rather chuffed with herself here as she gets ahead of the game by working next season's big tartan trend.

The TV presenter and fashion icon rocked the laid back plaid look backstage at Glastonbury and as we reported yesterday it's set to be huge this winter.

Alexa opted for an oversized green and blue tartan coat with retro chunky buttons. She teamed this with a simple black shift dress and preppy school girl knee socks.

The look was finished off with a simple pair of flat black patent loafers which are perfect for all that stolling around in the mud- and flats are also set to be huge next season.

So it's only July and already Alexa is embracing the autumn/winter trends- no wonder she topped the list of the UK's coolest people earlier this week.
