'Dysfunctional' Alison Mosshart

Alison Mosshart used to be a "dysfunctional dresser".
The Kills rocker used to hate being dressed in girly clothes and would have arguments with her mother about the outfits she wore.
She said: "I think the only arguments I had with my parents were about what I wore. I was a really dysfunctional dresser. At the age of three, I'd throw an absolute fit if my mom tried to put me in a dress. I hung out with boys and I climbed trees and I played war and I made bombs and I liked bikes and I liked skating. That whole girly thing? In my brain, it was like the enemy. And for some reason that has never worn off."
Her bandmate Jamie Hince also revealed how she used to find her clothes in skips because she didn't have any money.
He told Britain's Vogue magazine: "When I first met Alison, we were totally broke. We used to go through skips and find clothes, and that's still kind of her look. She customised stuff herself and managed to put together all these weirs things that no one else could pull off: destroyed jeans with a bit of old raggedy fur and voodoo necklaces. A real mishmash."
