We've brought you some of the best celebrity transformations from 2008, and no list would be complete without the mother of all transformations...Miss Britney Spears!
Britney started the year in hospital after a breakdown and many people couldn't see a way forward for her. However, the star proved them all wrong and has bounced back with a hot new body and a great new album. So how did she do it?
By February Britney was out of hospital and determined to pull herself back together. Starting with her body, Britney started to workout at an LA dance studio. The singer was weighing in at 11 stone and was a size 14 down to her love of junk food and Frappuccinos.
By May Britney had dropped to a size 12 and was weighing 10 stone. Photographs of her on holiday showed her looking healthy and fabulous in her bikini, and the world breathed a sigh of relief as Britney was finally back on track.
November saw Britney embarking on her comeback, with a new album out and a world tour to look forward to in 2009. The singer and her famously flat abs were back, thanks to a strict 1, 200 calories a day diet. The Toxic singer is a slim size 8 and has regained her 9 stone figure!

correction, britney is not going on a world tour. she is going to tour the US than do 8 shows in london. that does not classify im pretty sure as a world tour, unless the world consist of the US and the UK?
