Carl Barat finds it "difficult" to wear jewellery.
The singer - whose Libertines bandmate Pete Doherty recently launched his own jewellery line - admits he isn't a huge fan of over-the-top accessories and tries his best to avoid them.
He said: "I find men's jewellery quite difficult. I've got some rings and the odd bracelet, but I stand as far away as I can from B.A Baracus and Jimmy Savile. Apparently Pete's just done a jewellery range, though."
Carl says he is quite a "classic" dresser and hates it if designers ruin a good outfit by trying to be too quirky.
He told Britain's GQ magazine: "I try to expand my tastes but find it hard to go beyond classic staples really. I guess I've become a bit more refined - it's hard to find good directions to go in. Designers keep on making beautiful staple items and then putting some horrific quirk on them... I guess I'm having the same difficulty!
"I like black stuff, mainly. I used to spend a fair bit on Dior jeans but they don't make them like they used to. Now I get good suits by Dior or Lanvin and Voltaire T-Shirts."
