Catherine Deneuve "hasn't had the time" to have cosmetic surgery.

The 65-year-old actress-and-model has never gone under the surgeon's knife and insists she has good genes to thank for her flawless complexion.

She said: "I haven't had the time to have any work! If you want an explanation, you would have to meet my mother. She is 98. It's genetic."

Catherine has a long career in the fashion industry and is considered legendary designer Yves Saint Laurent's muse, having been dressed by him in her movies 'Belle de Jour', 'La Chamade' and 'The Hunger'.

She was the face of perfume Chanel No. 5 in the 70s, and proved so popular sales of the fragrance increased dramatically in America.

Catherine was married to photographer David Bailey from 1965 to 1972, and still has a lot of time for him.

She explained: "I haven't seen him for a long time. He's a difficult man to catch. He's never there. He is quite a personality and he always has been. He is not taken in by fashion and things of the moment. I have always been attracted to the person not so much for what they had done but for what they were."
