Chloe's new artistic director Clare Waight Keller loves the fact the brand is ''intuitive to women'' and she is thrilled to be at the helm of a label started by a woman.

Clare Waight Keller has praised Chloe as "intuitive to women".

I love the fact that Chloe was started by a woman, and I love the fact that it speaks to women. It's not a conceptual brand. It's much more sensitive. It's intuitive to women.

The brand's artistic director - who formerly designed for Pringle of Scotland and has previously worked for labels including Gucci, Ralph Lauren and Calvin Klein - explained she is thrilled to be at the helm of a brand started by a woman.

She said: "I love the fact that Chloe was started by a woman, and I love the fact that it speaks to women. It's not a conceptual brand. It's much more sensitive. It's intuitive to women."

However, when Clare makes her runway debut at Paris Fashion Week on Monday (03.10.11), she is hoping to make some changes to the luxury label and give it a "slightly less vintage" feel.

She added in an interview with WWD: "There will be slightly less of a vintage, heritage, archival mood. For me, the Chloe girl is a lot about her attitude and her spirit coming through the clothes. It's very much looking to the future with the brand and trying to bring my point of view. There's always that personal side I'm trying to capture.

"Chloe appeals to such a wide group of women, but the spirit is very youthful and joyful."
