Demi Moore believes Alexander McQueen's clothes were "works of art".

The 'Ghost' actress loved the late designer's creations and felt privileged to wear some of his outfits.

Speaking about McQueen - who died at the age of 40 last month after committing suicide at his London home - said: "McQueen was a genius. I was always thrilled to wear his clothes because they were more than fashion; they were truly works of art."

While she is a huge fan of designers, Demi is not so impressed with the size of the models they use on their catwalk shows and advertising campaigns.

She said: "Models, even male models - how small they've gotten! It looks great for the clothes, but it's not what you want in real life. Why do we have to keep looking at ourselves and measuring?"

The 47-year-old beauty - who is married to actor Ashton Kutcher, 32 - says she feels more confident with her looks as she gets older but will still occasionally indulge in the latest beauty trend.

She told America's Harper's Bazaar magazine: "I feel better in my skin, 100 per cent. That's the trade off. You have greater effects of gravity, but the better sense of yourself you have is something I wouldn't trade. Women who lie about their age - why?

"I'm not risky with haircuts. Someone did just bring me the latest fad from Russia, though. Horse shampoo and conditioner."
