Freida Pinto ''collects'' Alexander McQueen creations, as the late designer is always one of her favourites for red carpet wear.

The 26-year-old actress is a huge fan of the fashion house and says the late designer has always been one of her favourites for red carpet wear.

She said: "Given the chance, I love dressing head to toe in Alexander McQueen.

"I was always a huge fan of his and will continue to be so forever. I even collect McQueen handbags as well as dresses."

Freida - who is dating her 'Slumdog Millionaire' co-star Dev Patel - also tries to wear as much colour as possible and never likes to replicate a red carpet look she has used before.

She told Britain's InStyle magazine: "I keep colour in mind and try not to repeat a shade I've used before. Everything needs to be in sync and seem like one perfect piece, one perfect look. At the end of the day, it has to have the wow factor, so whatever I wear has to be 'wow'.

"My must-haves are a little black dress and my favourite accessories. I just love a pair of simple earrings that can jazz up an entire outfit. I try to keep it simple and elegant."
