Gary Barlow is jealous his Take That bandmates can eat what they like.

The group's frontman says he has to be careful with the type of food he consumes as he puts on weight easily, unlike his fellow groups members, Mark Owen, Howard Donald and Jason Orange.

He said: "The worst thing about being in Take That for me is when we're in the studio and it gets to that time when we dial out for our food. The other lads will be tucking into their gourmet burgers followed by chocolate, and there'll be me with my tuna salad and my little protein bar. I mean, how annoying is that? But if that's what it takes to stay in shape then I just have to accept the fact that fries don't figure in my future."

I diet pretty much all the time. If I don't concentrate on what I'm eating, by the end of the week I've gained seven pounds.

Gary's weight ballooned after Take That split in 1996 when he resorted to comfort eating to fill the void.

The 38-year-old pop star - whose weight peaked at 232lbs - has previously admitted it has been a struggle to keep the weight off since the group reunited in 2005.

He said: "I diet pretty much all the time. If I don't concentrate on what I'm eating, by the end of the week I've gained seven pounds."
