Gok Wan's 'drunk' Confession

Gok Wan is usually "too drunk" to pick clothes for his friends and family.

The celebrity stylist rarely chooses outfits for the people close to him as he prefers to relax properly when he isn't working.

Speaking at Gatwick Fashion Week, Gok told BANG Showbiz: "I don't style them. I keep work there and family life separate. I'm always too drunk to be honest."

Also, a lot of insecure women tend to over-accessorise

Despite his reluctance to style his pals, Gok is always willing to hand out clothing advice.

He insists the most common mistake people make when shopping is picking items because they are in fashion, rather than because they suit them.

He explained: "People dress for trend and not for body shape. Body shape always has to come first - if you body doesn't suit a pencil skirt, but it's the biggest thing this season, don't wear one! If it just doesn't suit you don't do it at all.

"Also, a lot of insecure women tend to over-accessorise. Because they think they need to make a big effort, but sometimes less is more. Coco Chanel once said, 'Every time you leave the house, take at least one accessory off.' And it works."

London Gatwick Fashion Week, held at the airport from August 6-9, gave fashion advice and tips to holidaymakers as well as promoting the benefits of duty free shopping.
