Gok Wan Is Fan Of Ferry

Gok Wan's proudest moment was styling Bryan Ferry.

The celebrity fashion consultant was delighted to be given the chance to work with the Roxy Music frontman star as he is such a fan of Bryan's music.

Speaking at Gatwick Fashion Week, Gok told BANG Showbiz: "Bryan Ferry is the one who stands out, because I am a big fan. And I always was when I was younger. Meeting him when I got older was quite bizarre and very cool, and I'm now dressing him so he was really good."

Gok also relished the opportunity to team up with comedy double act Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders.

He explained: "French and Saunders were great. I'm a big, big big French and Saunders fan, they are very funny women. Jennifer knows more about fashion than most people in the industry, so that was quite good. We had some great conversations - Dawn is just the funniest woman I've ever met in my entire life."

Gok is looking forward to dressing people in the new season's trends, adding fashion lovers everywhere are in for a glittering Christmas.

Referring to US soap opera 'Dallas' - which was famed for women with big hair dressed in large shoulder pads - he explained: "Autumn/Winter is very masculine, it's all about big A-symmetric prints, oversized tailoring. It's going to be really, really 80s - the worst side of the 80s. It's that exaggerated 'Dallas' look coming in. I think it's great, I love it.

"It's really embellished as well. It's going to be a very, very sparkly Christmas this year - everyone's going to be out there in all their sparkles."

London Gatwick Fashion Week, held at the airport from August 6-9, gave fashion advice and tips to holidaymakers as well as promoting the benefits of duty free shopping.
